Join Our Visual Computing Group: PhD Opportunities Available
Currently 2 open positions for the Emmy Noether Programm funded project : Enhancing Network Efficiency through Combined Weight Space Learning and Architecture Search
Motivated students are invited to explore this exciting research project. It focuses on Neural Architecture Search and Weight Space Learning in computer vision, aiming to develop efficient and robust networks at once.
Possible Research Topics within this project:
- model efficiency
- automated neural architecture design
- weight space learning
- representation learning
- robustness of computer vision models
Eligibility Criteria:
- candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field at the time the position starts.
- advanced English skills is required; knowledge of German is not necessary.
- experience with any programming languages, preferably Python or the willingness to learn Python, is essential.
- first experience in automated machine learning are preferred
All PhD positions are full-time employee positions (100%) at the University of Siegen, compensated in accordance with public service pay grade TV-L E 13. While participation in our group’s teaching responsibilities is expected, most of your time will be spent on research.
